I read Bush's IQ was in the 120's.

I already have a college degree, but thanks for your good wishes and exhortations! I was just wondering if there was a statistic on this. I had thought it was something like 115.

Still wondering, if anyone knows for sure.

One of my professors said that the average IQ of college graduates was 115 or 120 or over, but money can inflate your IQ, as Bush has shown.

IQ has nothing to do with graduating from college.

However, mental retardation is defined as an IQ of 70 or below, so if a person's around 70 or below they probably won't go to college, much less graduate.

Doesn't work that way.

Most colleges will never know your IQ. Indeed, most
of your teachers after your early grades won't know it
either.

The issue is whether you are able to complete
the material or not. In some cases, hard work,
luck and friends will get you through where
raw intelligence simply won't.

And of course "W" graduated ... so clearly
money helps too.

Some of the smartest and successful people have never finished college. Some of the dumbest people have graduated with a degree while a smarter person failed out. To succeed has to do more with determination than smarts.

You don't have to have a high IQ to graduate from college...that is not a requirement. You do, however, have to show up for class, get descent grades, and try.
