Dude, from $50 per MB in 1995 to less than 20 cents per MB in 2007 (a 1GB or 1000MB module costs under $150) ...... the simple math (or presumptuous ratio) is easy to do.

Nonetheless, it is rather naive to presume that 40+ years from now we will still be using that same technology ( semiconductor architecture) for PC memory let alone PCs themselves.

Odds are that they will be all nothing more than terminals connected to wireless application server satellites. The key factor to consider nowadays is the Internet. Its potential is way way too limitless to not be virtually the only target of research & developement (hence center of) for all three main players in PC evolution : Intel, Microsoft & Apple.

Portability & peformance shall be best acheived via terminal based operating systems..... meaning that you simply "connect" to a server that offers all applications you may need to use.... nothing will run standalone on your PC.

All said ... it is a valid thought provoking question ... but nonetheless a rather infantile one as well.

Why not...we must work harder to make sure it becomes reality...it was fantastic but i think MOST computer will have only 1TB(terabyte) by 2020....
