If you are wearing a helmet, and not driving like an idiot. I don't think anything different then if you were driving a car. If it saves you gas and you are having safe fun, GO FOR IT!! :)
For most people it probably depends on what kind of bike. My dad is a big Harley fan, and has owned several. He has never dressed or acted like a "biker" he just loved riding!!

Had a bad accident that eventually took the life of my mother the next day. The only person to step out of the crowd of gawkers was a biker to help me perform first aid, before the police and ambulance arrived. I was the only one to walk away from the accident with just a scratch. The rest of my family was hospitalized anywhere from 2 weeks to a month.
Ever since then any biker I see on the road will get the same reciprocation from me, because of one biker who helped.
I think a lot of the mystique built up about bikers is from just a few bad people. But then the same can be said of any grouping of people.

I think dang they must have a set , a really big set to ride with the way some people in autos have no idea what the heck is going on around them while driving down the road;talking on phone, reading, drinking, getting stuff out of floor, or back seat you know all that garbage..

it depends on wether he is like 50 years old with week old scruff, a beer belly, and wearing one of those funny german helmets with the one spike sticking up on top
or if he is fit, leaning in and moving perfectly with either a nice sportbike or loud dirty dirtbike, and then pulls up and pulls off his FULL FACE helmet to reveal short dark hair and peircing green eyes...ahhh dreamy
oh wait you meant like attitude and such?? well...when i see people riding scooters i think of peewee herman. except when they are riding them in italy cause you know...thats just what people do there for some reason.
i guess when it costs 10 bucks to fill up a tank over the minimum 30 for any car - what i think when i see a guy on a motorcycle is a smart man
......and sometimes eye candy :)

The more guys (gals too) I see on motorcycles, the more I like it. Motorcyclists are better drivers than cagers. With few exceptions, they actually watch what they are doing. AND bikers are nicer people usually than cagers...at least while driving.
So when I see a motorcyclist, I think...One less cager to worry about.

If gas prices keep rising, I'm thinking of taking a motorcycle class myself to get an endorsement on my drivers license.

I think.... mmmmm yummy.... lol but only if the guy is good looking. Sometimes I think- how stupid, what an idiot- if they're zipping around like nothing can happen to them. I think bikes are cool though
And to the person who complained about the loud pipes- Loud pipes save lives!!!

I think "oh, there's some future road kill". We just went to a funeral the other day of a Marine who fought in Iraq yet came home & crashed his bike. I don't like bikes. When I see a guy on a really expensive Harley or other custom bike, I think "he's compensating for something...." I've seen too many killed on them. It's good you want to save gas, but please be careful & wear a helmet, riding jacket & good riding boots. Don't speed like an idiot, make sure you're seen, don't try to beat a car pulling out.

When I see a guy on a bike I usually wish I was on mine. If I'm on mine, I think "cool" and wave.
