It depends on what that certificate applies to. If you are referring to "ASE certified" or, "been a certified mechanic for XX years" etc., that doesn't necessarily make one smart. There are A LOT of "mechanics" out there who are either "meat cutters", or ones who fall under the category that they "couldn't fix a sandwich if their life depended on it". Possessing a certificate does not make one SMART, it only makes one EDUCATED. EXPERIENCE is what makes one SMART. The ability to learn from one's mistakes and not repeat it, is what makes one SMART. This can be applied to life in general. Hope this helps.

having a certificate means you were present at a class where they talked about something, then they usually give you a test and answer it for you or give you a hand book to find the answers. ive gotting some certificates when i wasnt even there. so yes it means your smart enough to take the certificate and dumb enough to pay for it

All the certificate means is that you have passed a test. Just like a drivers license.
