No.I am Not doing this to get back At him. If that were the Case , I would have Done this years ago. As i said have to jobs, and attend School. I have Earned 2 degree's Since Our Divorce. So this Has Nothing to do with revenge.Matter of fact it has to do with Him NOT having a job, and Not Paying support But, Putting over 5 grand into His car last week, That was the final Straw for Me.

Do you mean take away his CAR???
I wasn't sure what you meant with the word CARE..
Get a judgment against him so if and when he sells cars, homes, land, boats, and gets tax returns, he will have to pay you first by law...
He cannot sell anything with a title before paying you...

Would you like to tell us in what state you live and if there is a current child support order and if so, from what state? Oh, and would you like to tell us how much he owes?

you know, silly little things like FACTS on which to form a VALID legal opinion?

EDITED BASED ON NEW INFO:

First of all, I doubt seriously that the D.A. dropped the court dropped anything based on his girlfriend being passed off as you. I have yet to meet a District attorney dumb enough to accept a criminal's word for anything.

At a minimum, she would have been required to show identification or other proof that she was who she said she was.

There is much more to this story that either you don't know or are not telling here.

You should have a court order for support first then go to the district attorney and have them garnish his wages. If you have a support order the company he works for MUST do the garnishment if they are sent a garnishment order. If you have collected any welfare for this child he will have to pay that back too. They probably won't take his car from him you need a lien on the car for that then when they sell the car you get money from the sale if you have a lien on it.

it has to start with a court order. Once a court order is registered then the proper authorities will start to collect child support based on his yearly income--income tax statement. You can amend it yearly if his income goes up. As well, the sheriff's office can then enforcement payment by taking his vehicle and selling it to pay outstanding debts such as child support. It all has a process and you start with getting a court order--see your women's in crises shelter, legal aid clinic or your own lawyer. I've never regretted it.

This sounds like a case of revenge instead of care for your children. The car can't put food on the table nor can she use it as a place to sleep.

You should go thru the court system like every other mama with drama.

Then do it LEGALLY, and take his butt back to court.

Regardless of how you feel about him, he is still the father, so you have to get over your own personal hatred.

Go through the legal system. It is the safest bet to have the law on your side.

You can't take his car away, if he paid for it you are not entitled to it. You have to go to your lawyer and tell him to get working on getting your child support. But you don't get to take possessions of your ex husband to make up for it.
