I have a piece of pottery that has a stamp on the bottom from the Ching Dynasty the stamp has a circle around it.

You could call the library and see if they have books on Chinese pottery markings, such as China Pottery & Porcelain and Chinese Ceramic. They have the markings.

There are appraisers in most large cities.

You must know if you are dealing with a legitimate appriaser that has the expertiese you need for him to determine the true origin and value of your pottery.

Be very careful as you can be scammed, if you are not familiar with the pottery.
