My husband (eight years) complains that we don't have relations often enough. He feels like we're the only couple in the world who doesn't have time for this (daily). So my survey is how olften do you and your partner have relations?

Yes, we have a 6 year old and 10 month old. I work days, he works nights. I also work from home on the evenings as well. I work Saturdays - 6 hrs also. I hope this is why I can't compete with most of you. LOL

I respect all that you shared and advised me. The point of this poll was based on my curiosity. I wanted to know for myself if there were others like me. My husband believes that our frequency is abnormal. So I had to see for myself. I never intended to use this poll as a tool for improvement. Again, thank you for your honesty and valued information.

I really don't want to get into my own sex life on a public message board, but as someone married 20 years I'll pass along some thoughts. Twice a month isn't really enough for most guys in their early 30s. I would bet your guy is becomming increasingly frustrated with you, possibly to a degree you might not fully realize. I assume you have kids and are also doing a lot of the housework. It's looking like you aren't finding time, so you have to make time. Set aside at least one and preferably two days a week where you are a "sure thing." In return, he helps you with some more of the housework (assuming he doesn't now.) An example is maybe doing part of the laundry, maybe cook the dinners on the weekend--whatever. That would help to lighten your workload so you would have more time. It's a logical compromise. I don't think posting an poll is going to help you. As I recall, the "average" amount of sex in your age group is more like 2-3 times per week, but there are a lot of factors such as the libido of the specific people, and how many kids and their ages will affect things too. My advice to you as a long time married guy is to increase the frequency enough to keep him from becomming bitter. If that happens, you will have bigger problems. I'm betting your guy will work with you, but your going to have to compromise some. What I suggest you DON'T do is hit him with the results of your poll. Even in the HIGHLY unlikely event it comes out that twice a month is normal for 30 yr. olds, that doesn't matter at all. What matters is your husband is happy, at least happy enough. Regular sex is a big deal for most guys, and no guy likes to be rejected night after night.

i'm 23 and my husband is 27. we've been together for 5 and 1/2 years and married for 4 months. we are in the d category, usually like 1-3 times a week. it's hard for us b/c he works the graveyard shift in a factory, and i have a job w/ hours of 9-5 or 11-7. so the only time we actually sleep together is friday nights if he doesnt' work saturday and saturday nights. it's really hard when i'm back to school, cuz then i'm up at like 5-6am and i'm not home until after 4 or 5 and that's if i dont' have to work after school!. we both feel ok about our levels of activity, though he's the one who usually is missing it a bit more than i am. there's no tension between us about it and we get along great. the main thing is that we just don't get to see each other. we miss each other a lot, but we gotta do what we gotta do.

How often? somewhere between d & e... we usually don't do it more than once a wk but don't usually go every other wk. I hope this helps! This is something that varies from couple to couple and situation to situation. My husband would love to be in the a category but we have two children (ages 7&8) and I am soley responsible for everything they need so I'm a little more tired than he is!!! I'm sure it's that way with most women. I think for some women, me included, it also has alot to do with how they go about trying to "get it"! It begins to feel like a chore or a job that you have to do, even though I really get into it and love it once we start! It's really unfair of them to make us feel like we're neglecting them because it takes away from our pleasure in sex! Thanks for posting this question! That was a GREAT idea to take a poll on here. B and 2 to 3 times A Change things around. Make things exciting for you both. Do you have kids? If so make arrangements to have time for each other. Intimacy is so important not just sex but the feeling of being loved while loving another whole heartedly. Recently I have been going through separation. Well, she came home for a day and we had the most intimate moment of 15 years. I suggest that you kiss for.......... well kiss for an hour. Let your feelings out honestly. Don't be in a hurry or a race just be there for each other.

We've been married for 21 years. There is no passion, romance, shared interests or anything. How sad is that? Don't let your marriage end up like ours. Be sure to keep the passion alive, venture out and experience new things together and always respect each other in every way. Also, don't let money and things become more important than your relationship....and never put the kids before yourselves to a point of losing whatever was there to begin with.

We are on B & D group. Though some times we slip into C where we just have 1 session in a week. So all depends. But as i can see you are over worked so you may fall into F slot soon. Take some timeout , Sex is healthy and neccessary for personal well being and even mental satisfaction from your life.

My honey and I are in are mid twenties and believe it or not.... frequency is not the most important. If you are a normal hard working, career minded person, plus a mother on top... sex is the last from your mind. Once a week is sufficient, sure they want more, but that's what they created toys and lotion. The only thing I think of when I hit the bed is sleep or the chore's that have to be the next day. Cuddle time sounds lame, but it is the greatest time to just find that safe place in your honey's arms.

If you would like hard numbers I have those available. This year we have been keeping track of how often we have sex. We are now on day 159 of the year; week 23. We have had sex 48 times. We average sex 2.086 times a week.

Yes, we are nerds. Next year we count how many orgasms we have, together and solo.
