Why does she act like this?

There's this girl in my class that I just started talking to a few weeks ago. Well then she started sitting beside us instead of her friends. She's always looking at me, but when I look at her she looks away. Or i'll stare at her and she'll say "what?"..i do it cause it gets on her nerves. She usually goes to the snack machine w/ me if I go. She's always asking why i'm so mean to her, when I'm not. She also ate my cinnamon bun that she saw I licked off of, then my friend asked her what my slobber tastes like off of it, and she said "why do u wanna know?" There's another girl that i find fun to hang around in there since she acts like me sometimes, and I asked the girl I was talking about earlier where everyone was while looking in the direction of the fun girl's desk, and she got all mad and became a smart eleck w/ me when she was nice to me earlier that day, maybe it's because it's one of her friends, i dunno. But what's up w/ how she's acting? I don't think she's gay, nothinglikethat

It sounds like the girl likes the attention she gets by getting on your nerves. She has your attention and that of everyone around the two of you.

Or maybe she'd just like to be like you so that she is as popular as you are. She may have trouble knowing how to act and is using you as an example for herself.

She really admires you. She may be insecure and is afraid that you won't like her. It's ok to be friends with the girl you think is fun to be around. No one has the right to tell you who you are friends with.

Because she likes you and is probably wanting you to ask her out. She got jealous about the other girl cuz she thinks you like the other girl and not her.
