Not yet. But he's only 31, and so should have many seasons left to build his career testimony.

To date, though, No, he won't get in.

Right now, I would have to say that no he is not a hall of fame player. The mark of 215 home runs right now is not that high. Look at the numbers for Sosa, Griffey, or Frank Thomas. Yes, he might be the only member of the 40-40-40 club, and that will put that feat into the hall, but that does not mean that he will go in.

For all we know, tomorrow he could break his leg and never be the same type of player again. It is just too early to tell what his stats will be like until he is done playing.

No, the baseball hall of fame is the hardest of any major sports to get into. You have to have an ultra-spectacular career, or break a record Being a member of a 40-40-40 club is not good enough.

He certainly has the talent and is a legitimate five tool player. However, I am not sure his head is always in the game. He doesn't always play the game hard and has a lot of up and down streaks. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say he has a shot if he can stay healthy and put together a string of five or six really good years which he is capable of doing.

He has a way to go, but he has a good shot at it. Great offensive player and last year led the league in outfield assists. Needs to play 8 more years at least.
