Victor Davis Hanson? Love him or hate him?

I have not met him, so I cannot say I hate him. I have read his books (The Soul of Battle, Ripples of Battle, and Carnage and Culture) and I appreciate what he has written. I think he is an excellent military historian, so I have more reasons to love him than I do to hate him.
