some articles and links and what really happened- it was a blatant false flag attack by the Israelis - who used unmarked planes and boats and jammed on American frequencies.
It is treasonous to deny the facts.

Just Google it ("about 300,000 for "USS Liberty" "), and look it up in Wikipedia (just look at discussion/talk page for the "USS Liberty incident" page!). There are thousands of websites about it, and the debate is still very much alive. If you follow the serious news media, you will notice that the story pops up regulary. Google News has 50 news articles with "USS Liberty" just since May 11.

The U.S. is THE main ally Israel has in addition to being a military Juggernaut next to Israel's military (although the training Israel military recieves today is outstanding) and there would be no incentive for them to have attacked us, then or now.

The USS Liberty incident occured while Israel was fighting a war with Arab guerillas with the support of the Egyptian and Jordanian governments. Friendly fire sucks, but it happens. The U.S. has killed several of its own as several of its allies in the same manner.

Israel and the United States eventually investigated the matter, and it was resolved (save for all the conspiracy theories) in 1987.

Israel ended up paying some $13 million to the U.S. and the families of the servicemen that were killed. (not $2 million as stated above)

I do. And I don't accept the Israeli whining that it was an accident. Read the eyewitness accounts of people who were serving on that ship and it is clear this was a deliberate attack that Congress tried to cover up.

Israel eventually paid something like $2 million restitution but that doesn't change the fact that it was a deliberate attack that went on and on for hours.

Well if the US Navy did retaliate on Egypt ( they thought that it was Egypt who organised the whole thing.) Then we would still talk about it. But President Lyndon Johnson and Robert McNamara covered the whole thing probably to serve some interest.
Anyway I think we were on the verge of a conflict thanks to the Israeli leaders at that time, so called "allies".

I heard about it. They said that the Americans knew they were Israeli aircraft, and flew the American flag as a signal.

Nobody because it will not be talked about in the media. And, why will it not be mentioned? Can't say because my free speech is taken away when it comes to Jews, and I will be called anti semetic for saying facts.
