More betta myths.

No, you can't keep them together long term because the male will kill the female if she is in his territory and not ready to breed.

Bettas do NOT come from small puddles, they come from huge swamps and rice paddies.

NO!!!!! Don't try to play ' Fish Matchmaker'!!!! If you put more than one Betta fish in the same tank they'll fight to DEATH! for the territory. In the morning, instead of having 2 fish, you'll just be back to 1. . Betta fish are VERY territorial because they come from rice fields in China. And when the water drains out, they are forced to live in VERY SMALL puddles until the water rises again for another harvest. Don't do it! Good luck, be smart.

No dont, the female kills the male! If you want another one, go to the pet store and pay 5 bucks for another one. Dont risk your fishes life.
