I have done a virus scan and there's no virus detected. The website I need to go is a school website. It cannot run properly on firefox.

Re install Internet explorer is the fastest way. The other thing you can do before you re-install is to try to do a repair. Also, if you have system restore enabled, try restoring to an earlier point.

I hope this helps. Good Luck

Sounds like some corrupted Microsoft files. You may be able to fix them pretty easily.

Put your XP disk in the drive and reboot the PC.

When it comes up and asks if you want to do a "Repair Installation" or a regular installation, select the "repair" option and just follow the onscreen prompts.

This will hopefully repair any corrupt files.

Another option is to uninstall IE7 and uninstall Windows Media Player using the Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs utility.

Then go to the Microsoft site and download and install completely new copies of IE7 and Media Player 11.

Hope this helps.

Try this method:

1. Uninstall service pack 2 and Internet explorer 7 if you are using that.
2. Reinstall the service pack 2
3. Reinstall the Interet Explorer
4. download and install the latest windows media player (Ver. 11)

You can try reinstalling and updating both of the programs. Beyond that, consult the nearest computer nerd; if that doesn't work, find the nearest computer repair store.
