Well, the best I've seen comes from a Twilight Zone episode from 1945, called "In the Dead of Night"

Fats from Magic is hard to beat. The Puppet Master series (mainly the first 3) are good.

From the 70s, we got the Zulu warriors from The Terror Trilogy.

...two very outstanding titles, off the top of my head, would be...

"Dolls" (1987)

A group of people, stranded in the country during a violent storm, find solice, safety and shelter in a nearby house, where an elderly, eccentric couple live; the old couple's house is strewn with antique dolls, which they call their 'children'. But the supernatural reality between the old couple and the dolls, turns out to be most horrific!!!

"Trilogy of Terror" (1974)

Karen Black plays four different characters, in this early 70's made-for-T.V. anthology, the third story of which features an African Zumi doll that comes to life, and terrorizes a hapless young bachelorette. Very scary, for it's time.

Check 'em out; you WON'T be disappointed!!!

I liked child's play. but it is only about 1 doll. the sequel was good as well. but the 3rd, 4th, and 5th were more overdone than a thanksgiving turkey from the bronx.
