No, the 512 RAM is too slow for Vista. They advise at least double that amount.

It is a decent laptop if you are not going to being using it for major applications the speed of the processor is not all that great at a minimum i would recommend 2 ghz processor but for the average user it is not a bad PC and i would not spend more than 250 for it and I can tell you right now with Vista installed on it, that it is not going to run as fast as it would with XP because Vista is a memory hog as well as the processor if you did purchase it, then i would recommend you install xp on it and you will be fine

This kind of config is available on deals2buy.com ... for Acer it is around $399

Not good enough for Vista, but ok for XP. And by the way, without Driver CD what are you doing to do.

What kind of machine this is ? Which brand ? what price ? and so on... many questions may arise.

And finally eBay ?? do u trust ?

eh they are alright. i agree with the first answerer, you may way to put in a better cpu. on another note, it would be wise to upgrade your memory to at least 1GB...Vista uses a lot of your computer's resources and i think your computer will slow down tremondously if you are running multiple graphics-intensive programs/ videos on this computer.

Everything else looks fine, as far as i can tell!!
