He can be as unhappy as he wants, reality is that his paycheck as the franchise player is more than he has made so far in his career. His mistake was not in renewing his contract last year, when at this point he'd have 15+ million in his pocket rather than threatening to hold out.

Sadly, his trade value isn't very high because the Bears defense is what makes him so successful. He replaced an "unreplaceable" guy. The Bears can just plug and go. As a result, he might choose to skip the first week of training camp. But no further. His value is plummeting the more he complains.

If he's not traded by camp. I say he'll hold out for training camp then show up for the season. He'll play otherwise it'll hurt his chances when he's a free agent. The Bears should probably trade him while they can get something for him. But I like it when teams stare down a little ***** who demands a trade.

I am a die hard Bears fan and I will tell you that Briggs will only hold out until maybe training camp... the kid loves football and his teamates way too much to sit out.

I think he will get traded to the Patriots for Asante Samuel, both teams could use depth at those positions and both players are disgruntled. It should work out like that.

Week 10 so then he still gets paid and can still be a free agent at end of season. Its the longest he can hold out to get all of these benifits.

The Bears won't trade him because the GM/team do not give in to players "threats".
