The judge sent her back to jail today! She was crying and screaming for Mommy like a spoiled rich brat. I can't stop giggling.

Just to add a bit of coal to the fire, Sheriff Baca has sent her to a different prison's infirmary. It seems they are shopping for a "more suitable" prison for her to serve her "18 days!". Sheriff Baca says that is the usual time someone must serve with time off for good behavior. GOOD BEHAVIOR? I am sure she has been a model prisoner.
Not only that but I just saw on the news as her sister, Nickie, came to the prison to visit her. She did not have to wait in line with all the other people waiting to visit inmates. She just walked right around the queue, signed in and went straight in.
I think there should be some serious investigation of this Sheriff. Something really stinks when someone with much more to worry about running an prison system gets so personally involved. If this is how they treat famous little recidivists it is no wonder they all behave so badly.

She is in jail for driving with a suspended license which in the state of California is punishable by impounding the car, not jail time.
On January 1, 1995, new laws were enacted relating to unlicensed drivers. These laws, California Vehicle Code (CVC) Sections 14602.6 and 14607.6 authorize tow enforcement agencies to tow and impound vehicles for 30 days when driven by unlicensed, suspended, or revoked drivers. There is a possibility that the vehicle could be forfeited (taken from you by the state) if you have a prior conviction for driving while unlicensed, or with a suspended or revoked license.
The vehicle will be impounded for 30 calendar days. The registered owner will have to pay the towing and the 30-day storage fee to get the vehicle back at the end of this period.

I am responding to this. Paris shouldn't be in jail at all! If she wants to drink and drive it's her own business. A lot of people do it anyway! Besides, she didn't even drink enough to be drunk. She drinks a lot so her tolerance is high. She's a talented and charismatic woman! I feel so bad for her! Jail isn't fit for someone like her because it's probably gross in there! Im sorry but that is the most retarted thing i have ever heard. If anything this countrys DUI laws need to be stricter( more jail time). And Can you imagine what it would be like if we just yanked all the DUI laws an let everybody drive around drunk. I bet you would feel diffrent about this had someone you loved been killed by a drunk driver. And as far as it being gross that is one of the concesquences of her actions.

I know many people do not like Paris Hilton and I'm definitely not a fan, but what you're forgetting here is that her conviction and jail sentence is for driving on a suspended license (not DUI) for which the typical sentence is apparently about 3-7 days in jail. I wholeheartedly agree that the antics of the last 24 hours are ridiculous, but the public (us) have not been privy to all that is going on. We do not know whether the medical condition is bogus, we do not know whether the Sheriff was trying to somehow correct what he felt was an overly stern sentence which maybe she received in a bout of reverse prejudice because she's a celebrity and the judge wanted to make an example out of her... the fact is that we do not have all the facts. We may not like Ms. Hilton, but she should still be treated fairly in the eyes of the law and until all the facts are known, we do not know if she was given preferential treatment or not. So all this Paris-bashing is just ridiculous and though I really didn't care for her before, I'm starting to feel bad for her now that so many people feel the need to bash her when they really don't have all the facts. Just because house arrest to her happens to be in a great house, doesn't mean that she shouldn't get it. If your house is a slum but mine is nice does that mean that it's ok for you to get house arrest because your house isn't that great, but for me to get it wouldn't be ok because I happen to live in a nicer home? Wouldn't you agree that that's a prejudice?
My speculation: Why else would the judge put a provision on her sentence that he did not want her to serve house arrest? It's his own prejudice. He knew that it was a possibility since she is not a high risk offender that she would be reassigned to house arrest, in fact that it was likely to be considered fairly early on. The media has even said that this judge is a hard@ss and gave her a much stiffer sentence than any other judge would have. Though we must take that with a grain of salt as with anything coming from the media...
Being reassigned to house arrest happens all the time both for medical reasons and for other reasons especially for low risk offenders like her. We don't hear about it on the news everyday because they're not Paris Hilton. Judges don't make a stink about it because it's not usually so public.
It's ridiculous that everyone thinks they are allowed to sit in judgement of her or anyone else. Have we looked in the mirror lately? Are we all so perfect that we feel entitled to such an honor as to judge others so harshly? Honestly we should be ashamed of ourselves.

I don't think you've heard the last of this! Baca is going to be dethroned real soon! Probably get a cushy job working for Paris's Daddy! Nice try Baca! Shows that everyone has a price, even corrupt sheriffs!

You damned straight. I'm glad someone sees this situation for what it really is. The justice system is screwed up enough as it is. It's ashamed the same people that tell you to obey the law will turn around and do the opposite. They need to put that damn sheriff in the cell with Paris. Then again he may like that too much.

I'm sick of seeing her face. I think she should be stripped of her fortune and inheritance and given a sentence no shorter then 2 years in state prison in general pop. with the fat greasy butch dikes. Then she will have a reason to cry.
Her money should be split up and given to victims of drunk drivers. She could have killed someone easily as drunk as she was and in my mind is as responsible as those that actually did kill someone. All it would have taken is the wrong set of circumstances, throw her drunk but in the middle of it and she could have wiped out a whole family. Just like the idiots who fire off their guns, they do mandatory prison time regardless if they hit someone or not, same should apply to idiots who drive blitzed.

I completely agree, she should also have to to do some kind of community service along with her jail sentence (which I feel should be longer) and I don't think that anything that she does should be publicized anymore. I can't stand her.
