By running and playing with ankle weights for two to three months.

When you are not wearing the ankle weights do squats to keep the ankles strong and consistent from the weights.

You need to hit the weights and do some jump exercises. For triple jump and long jump, my coach makes me do bounding exercises. If you don't know what that is, it's like skipping but one leg at a time. You hop on one leg for five times or more, then you switch to the other leg. Also, he makes me do frog jumps. You start off in a frog position with your hands on the ground, then you jump as high as you can. These have to be very explosive. Do 3 sets of 10, if you are doing them right, you will be sore after the first set. Doing these exercises have increased both my long and triple jumps and my vertical jump in basketball as well.
