This is very unlikley unless Duncan, KG, Parker, Ginobli and many others all take major paycuts plus the T'Wolves would never trade him to another Western team. He can't opt out till next year. But if it were to somehow happen Duncan would have to make the transition to Center to allow the more slender KG to play power forward. The Spurs would be the hands down pick to win the 'ship. They would also be a very very unselfish team with great veteran leadership, great defense and rebounding, and the most dominate big men in the game right now. They would be so popular because so many people in the world today like a team because they are good or have certain players.

I'm pretty sure a trade will happen for him this break, which means he won't be at Spurs, which should be looking to keep most of their current roster.
The Spurs won't become more popular because they won't switch to showbiz basketball just because KG is added to the roster. Spurs already are the most unstoppable force in the NBA right now, unless there's another team that can really challenge them.

It can't happen, Garnett gets way too much money for the Spurs to pay him. If it did happen though, they would have one of the greatest 2 man combonations and frontcourts (sf, pf, c) in history, and would win a championship. Yes, the Spurs would be more popular, but not that much because KG doesn't get a lot of attention either.

I don't think KG could get paid his going rate if he were to go to the Spurs. Parker/Duncan/Ginobili already get paid very well, so they wouldn't have the salary space to pay KG the $15-$20mil he could easily command somewhere else. There are probably some better options for him in terms of the money, and they are maybe also options that might put him in championship contention.

That would be crazy. If he wants a chance at a championship i think going to the Spurs is a good idea, but he'll have to take a less money like, Finley, K. Malone, and Gary Payton. There are a lot other good teams he could go to also.

the spurs would never be able to afford garnett's salary........... but if a miracle happened and duncan was teamed up with garnett, i think the spurs would sell out every game and be a definite championship contender

i think it can work with duncan moveing over to center and kg staying at pf. they would not lose a game they would go 82-0 and not lose a game in the playoffs. they have the best coach in the league. and he can get the best out of everyone

What position would you have him play? The Spurs already have Duncan; I don't think they need Garnett.
