When you deposit a pokemon:
1a. If the trade was successful, your screen will go directly to the trading sequence
b. If that didn't happen, then your pokemon was not traded. The top option will say "Summary"

Taking it back.
1. Click on summary and you will see your pokemon. You will have two options: take it back or leave as if.

Note that you can only trade for pokemon you have seen in game, like in the wild or battling trainers. Battling your friends in the Union Room or Wi-fi, battling in Battle Tower won't count towards your pokedex.

You have to wait for someone to trade you. Turn off the ds and wait till tommarrow. When you log back on you might see the trading sequence. If you don't than dialga hasn't been traded yet. If he has, log off and go to the PC.

Hope it helps.
