easiest way - put the music on CD, reinsert it to your PC but before you do, make sure the program you use (itunes, Real..ect) is set to convert the file to an mp3 format.

What do you consider an "ordinary audio file"??? mp3's are audio files, wma's are audio files and wav's are audio files. So I'm not exactly sure what you are asking.
If by chance you mean audio files that are on a music cd, then what you need is a "ripper". Windows media player can rip cd's to mp3.

Every file has an ext (.wav.mp3,.m4a.....etc) You need to find a converter.
Just a fyi there is no such thing as an ordiany audio file... There is not standared format. you need to find the format of the file and search for a converter for it.
