I keep telling myself that, despite current trends, discouragements are:

1) Not constant.
2) Not the result of an angry and vindictive deity.
3) Not my fault. Unless they were my fault, in which case, they are still not my fault.

I remind myself that if my motives in what I am trying to accomplish are pure and my effort is all out eventually the right things will happen. If the things that do happen aren't those I'd hoped for then I reason God has a plan that I have not yet figured out. I just trust that the outcomes will lead to something good.

I like a confidant to talk to. Get encouragement from someone I love trust and who will look out for my best interest. If that is not an option I like to read a positive passage that may be from the Bible or a self help book that is what keeps me going.

I wish you the best.

I remember the good things in my life and try to be thankful for what I have. Things could be better, but they also could be a lot worse too.

It's always helped me to be able to go to the gym and get underneath some heavy weights too, it's like meditation.

Life is short. I try not to sweat the small stuff!

I've kept a 'Praising' folder ever since my 2nd job (when I started to get picked on by another female worker). Every single little praise that I've been given by a worker/boss I've kept (whether handwritten, little note, email that I've printed out, etc) and that way when someone tries to pick on me and put me down, I read all my praises from people and remember my true worth (which can sometimes be easy to forget when someone is constantly trying to push you down).
