Help! I was spraying the garden with high pressured water, and i didn't realize it but I knocked off a whole bunch of these beautiful flower petals. I know they will grow back but I want to repay them. I feel bad, and I want to give it something, or help it. What can I do?

My thought is, you have asked an honest but ignorant question.
So start going to the websites of the local Universities, and State Agencies,and learn as much as you can about gardens and flowers.
There the first thing you will find is that High Pressure water is the best, NATURAL Way to kill bugs. .So, you did good not harm. No sense repaying some one that you all ready did a favor for! JUST CONTINUE TO LEARN! O.K.?

First make sure the seed pod is also gone not just the petals, if the seed pod is there take scissors and cut it off or if you can break it off with you fingers. This will keep the plants root system from stressing. Always remove spent blooms and do not let your flowers go to seed during growing season, the less seed pods you have on you plants the more blooms you will have. At the end of the season toward fall, if you want to start collecting seed keep a few on the plant and remove them after they have matured, put the seed in an envelope and mark the name and save in a cool dry area until next spring for planting. Keep your water pressure at a low to med low and water at the base of the plant into the soil, not on the leaves, always water deep to the root system, this is what needs it the most on a plant.
