Rotation- refers to movements of earth from its axis, just like a top.
Revolution - Refers to movements of earth from the sun, it's like you circling around a certain person or post.

We see different stars and constellation during different season beacause the earth revolves, as the earth revolves theres is a certain position in which this certain constellation can only be seen. I hope i explained it correctly ^_^

Rotation is the motion of the Earth as it spins on its axis. Revolution is the motion of the Earth as it circles the sun. The reason we see different stars and constellations is the circuit of the Earth around the sun.

Hi. Earth ROTATES on it's axis, and REVOLVES around the Sun. Actually all stars are up in the sky everyday. Just harder to see with the daylight. (Not impossible, just harder.)
