I'll be 38 weeks on sunday, and all day I've been cramping like I need to go the bathroom and I'll go a little bit, but I'm still cramping and it's annoying. Do you know what I can take or eat?

I had constipation (they actually thought it was appendicitis, but luckily, it wasn't). I had to do millions of crazy pills and powders and everything. I had to have apricot juice, and that worked pretty well. Then they gave me this powder and I pooped my pants. (No joke, it was sick!) But then, the miracle worker, Senekot, was what fixed the constipation. I highly reccomend it, but the apricot juice may help as well, especially if it is just a temprary thing.

Eat a lot of fiber. Like, green veggies (broccoli for example) or whole wheat products, etc. Fiber helps to regulate your digestive tract. I also remember my mom saying something about molasses helps with regularity too, so you could try that. Also, you can try eating several smaller meals a day, which is also supposed to help.

sweetie I would consider calling your doctor. feeling constipated could be a sign of early labor. If it is not labor then drink alot of water and they have over the counter stuff for constipation during pregnancy, ask the pharmacist before you buy anything though just to be safe.

Sauerkraut works quite well. Just get yourself a can or better yet get a package in the cooler section and tear it up. It won't take long and you'll be enjoying bathroom bliss!
LOL@ White Castle!! Great answer!

i hear gingersnaps do the trick...or anything containing root ginger.
apples or apple juice works well. prunes. any green veggie has high fiber. a fiber supplement would work too. fibersure you can mix into anything you cook or drink without any taste. ive had the same problem my whole pregnancy...im 38 weeks too...congrats!

Try prunes, they're good for digestion, and be sure to drink a lot, some people say saltwater helps as well

You should eat cheeses and bean products. They will make you have to go. But also will prob. put you into labor.
