I always though my dog was the only dog who could chew up anything in his path. Guess I was wrong :) .Nylabone has some great products for really strong chewers. You should try Nylabone's Durable Chews or Big Chew toys. They are made of really durable nylon for dogs like yours and mine. I don't think these toy bones will get your dog sick they're made for chewing, not eating, although they do come in beef or chicken flavors. My dog has had his Big Chew, and hasn't yet destroyed it. But, if your dogs do start to eat it, or destroy it, make sure you take it away from them right away. The little bits of plastic can get stuck in your dog's throat or intestine. You should probably replace these toys every 6 months to a year{it depends just how much they chew}. You can find Nylabone's Durable Chews or Big Chew toys at most pet stores {make sure you get the type for super powerful chewers!} My dog loves his Nylabone, and I think yours will too!
Good Luck sweetie!♥

Their chewing as puppies is a natural behavior. Saying to get them not to chew is like taking a binkie away from a baby.

Maybe you should consider buying rope by the foot. Tie the ends and let them chew away. Just make sure they are not eating it. Eating most animal toys in not advised. If it starts getting bad, replace it with a new piece. You can save a lot of money this was as opposed to buying the ropes at the store.

Most puppies do or try to . Our dogs liked socks tied in really tight nots. It seemed like they ahad a harder time chewing those up. Other than that we just kept on buying them chew toys. The ropes aren't that good because they can swallow the string. So you'll have to be carefull with those.

hi, i have two dogs that do the same thing. we bought them the combat battle tested Hawaiian toy and it seems to be a keeper. so far, it's not in little pieces. with that said, we bought them in Hawaii. however, i receive catalogs from Jeffers Pet...they also have this toy. plus, they have more "tough" toys.

here's the description for the combat battle tested hawaiian toy:
"Fun, Hawaiian print reversible toys made from a highly durable material that protects the internal squeaker. Designed to withstand rigorous play and can last with the most aggressive chewers. Machine washable and floats in water. Outlasts other soft dog toys on the market"

There isn't really any toy you can get that they aren't going to chew up. If they are chewers you're going to want keep them busy with nylabones which are edible and shouldn't be too hard on their stomachs. I would recommend lambs ears as well, they are not too hard on a dogs stomach.

If you yahoo! "tough dog toys" lots of suggestions come up. Infact, heres one http://www.doggoneclean.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=128..

Also, if you want to buy your dog a bone that is healthy for him try to stick to something that is made of 100% chicken it is alot easier for them to digest then the raw hides and some bones that you buy can break up and cause digestive problems. Try dried out chicken sticks or you could try 'bully sticks'. They are tough and have lots of nutrients that are healthy for your dog. Just so you know what a bully stick is, it is the part of a bull that a cow does not have, if you know what I mean!

My dogs destroy all their toys, too. The best ones I've found were made out of fire hose. Also, Kong makes toys for big dogs, and hard chewers.
