I got a big problem my wife loves to collect coconuts she has spent our entire life savings on them sold both cars and put her father in a nursing home and sold his home. my house is filled to the rim with coconuts there every were. we can not even have guests over I am spent please help before I am out in the street sleeping in a box.

I think your wife needs help. Marriage vows are simple for better or for worst. Get her in to see a shrink, and hopefully you can get your marriage back. If you want to leave her to her coconuts then you have to do what makes you feel happy. Maybe you feel she giving the coconuts more attention then you, and that's not right either. What do the coconut's do for her? Try this, everyday take 1 coconut, and get rid of it. Do this once a day, but keep your cool. It's just like cutting the blanket a kid won't let go of.

First I'd like to say, "WOW!" Okay well if I were you I would talk to her about her behavior. Explain the situation to her, about the money, room, compulsive/obsessive behavior. Maybe get her in to talk to someone of the psychiatrist variety before you talk to someone of the lawyer variety. Give this another chance too be worked out. Let her know you are concerned and love her dearly but you can't deal with the coconuts. When life hands you coconuts, make pie! Good luck to you and your wife.

have you ever ask your wife what these coconuts mean to her? does she associates coconuts to a childhood memory, security, etc?
before she makes any more purchase on any more coconuts, i think you need to step up and take control of the financial matters asap.
talk to her about limiting her collection of coconuts. so you can feel that your home a shared property of both parties as well as a place you feel comfortable inviting guests over.

This story is so crazy! are you making this up? If its true; your wife is abolutely crazy, she needs to see some kind of specialist. If all else fails, learn how to make the monkey heads they carve out of coconuts and sell to the turuists!

what the ****...who ever heard of coconut collections, i think you are married to a coconut....you should have thought of this before you got married, its obviously a problem if you cant accpet what the love of your life loves doing....think

It sounds like an actual mental issue. She really needs to talk to a therapist of some type. I don't know how you can get her to go except maybe the thought of you leaving?

your wife needs counseling...but of course you need money for that. talk to wife about her fascination with coconuts. try to stay calm and be rational when talking to her.

talk to your wife. simple as that. tell her you are uncomfortable with her spending such money on things u have quite alot about. Do it in a way so that it doesnt make her upset. If she loevd you, shed understand
