ok this is what heppened:
I was talking to my friend on msn
he told me rate the hot or not thing on face book
and I DO NOT THINK THIS
but I didn't want to hurt him
so I gave him a 7 out of ten
and now he is mad at me and telling me to stay away from him
I keep telling him I didn't mean it and didn't want to hurt hime by saying what I really think

Well, I've been hurt by overly blunt responses from my friends but it's not a great reason to be angry with them.
So, is he mad at you for not telling the truth or for rating him a 7? It doesn't make sense that he'd figure it out if you didn't tell him that you lied about the rating so I'm going to go with my first assumption.
Tell him that he's the one who asked you to rate him and that if he really thought you were his friend he'd thank you for being honest. After all, even if you think he's a "7" you don't think of him any less as a person, right?
It's hard to console someone when they're hurt like that. If the above advice doesn't work, give him some time. Everyone needs time to let theiri anger cool. Try talking to him about it a bit later and see how he reacts.
As far as I know, you didn't do anything wrong apart from being a tad bit tactless. You probably shouldn't apologize but try telling him that 7 isn't that bad a score since it's a C and C is average???
Okay maybe not that, but I'm sure he'll forgive you. It doesn't seem that big a deal to me.

He is being childish... if he is going to get pissed off about something that happens on facebook then forget about him. I think it is pathetic when people get mad at each other about things that happen on facebook/myspace.

don't worry about it. He's just playing with your head. He's not really mad at you. He will get over it in no time. Do not try and cheer him up, let him come to you.

tell him that you were honest and if he doesn't like it then he shouldnt have asked you to rate it. he will get over it. or just tell him that it wasnt that good of a picture of him.

he is just trying to manipulate you, you did the right thing by being honest, imagine what you have happened if you lied

he sounds like a needy, clinging moron. should have told him the truth, that he is a 3, and that he needs to grow up. it is HIS problem, not yours. don't let him "guilt" you. you deserve better.
