Go through your web-based configuration(type in the IP of your router ie:192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, 192.168.2.1) try all three. Once you get to the page, type in your password(may be default pass.) Find the Wireless Security section. Enable WEP or WPA security and copy down the key. NOTE: Enable this from a comp. w/ ethernet(wired) connection. If you do it from a wireless comp., you will be disconnected. Also change the routers password so people can't change your wep or wpa key.
Hope this helps, if not try searching the model of your router.

The best protection is from an APC Uninterruptible Power Supply with surge protection for electrical and phone. This will protect you from any source of interference from an outside source.

1. The best protection is from an APC Uninterruptible Power Supply with surge protection for electrical and phone because it can protect you from surges.
2. turn on your WEP/WPA2 networking security and firewall.
3. buy a NAT firewall networking filter (its hardware) and install it.

To protect your network, you need to enable encryption. Select WPA2 if it is available. Next best is WPA and then WEP. You will be prompted to set a password or an encryption key. After that, a casual computer user will not be able to access your network.

Your computer should be on one also ,they usually have more than one outlet.
