you can go back. Who ever told you that doesnt know the first thing about cars or oil. You could use conventional oil and then synthetic and then conventional and back as many times as you want. Just like the people that say you should wait until 50k miles to use it or some crap like that saying new engines cant handle it. They put Mobil 1 in brand new Corvettes and Cadillacs right from the factory to mentioin a few cars. Use synthetic the same way you would any other oil. But personally it is a waste of money the new oils they are making now are very good and unless your vehicle specifies that you need synthetic oil for the4 warranty just use conventional oil and change it every 5000 miles and you will be fine.

Thats a LIE. A synthetic motor oil is oil refined to the point were there isn't any sulfur or wax in it. That is the leading cause of engine wear. Conventional oil has just enough wax & sulfur removed to be acceptable to be put in a car. It also has many different additives and many of the same just at a higher level. A synthetic oil can boost gas mileage 2-3% as well as1-3 horsepower with little or no engine deposits. Its the quickest flowing oil so it will reach the top of the engine quicker then any other oil decreasing engine wear at start-up which is when most engine wear is occured. You may switch between either or but I will only use Mobil 1 in my vehicle and now they came out with Mobil 1 High Mileage for vehicles over 75,000 miles. This oil just has a higher concentrate of a seal conditioner and swelling agents then regular Mobile 1, that stops and prevents leaks better.

I believe that you can always go back when you are using synthetic oil there should not be any problems. When you are using convential oil, you may try changing to synthetic it won't hurt the engine at all, the only problem would be that if there was not any leak while you were using convential, the synthetic oil will find that leak due to it runs 3 or 6 time faster than regular oil but won't make a bigger leak. Feel free changing to regular oil.

That is not a true statement. You certainly can use either in your vehicle, and can go back to regular oil after using synthetic oil. The only real difference is you can go longer between oil changes by using synthetic oils.

Beats me?
They make a synthetic blend of both petrolium, and synthetic.

So, I think you've been misinformed.

when you change your oil's around it effect's the seals in the engine...and syn oil's are ussually cleaner than conventional's...you run the risk of developing oil leaks when you go back and forth...but it's your car

I think you got your statement wrong. You are thinking of the "once you go black you never go back" statement.

Its ok, people make mistakes sometimes, so dont beat yourself up over it.
