I have to complete a table for my com 125 class. I am having to input authors and publishers of my sources. My sources are time.com and discovermagazine.com, but how do you find publishers and authors to these sites?

When citing Internet references, I don't believe you necessarily have to cite names of people, unless they are given. Here are a few sites which might help:

http://www.library.ucla.edu/libraries/url/referenc/citing.htm

http://library.uww.edu/GUIDES/citeweb.htm

http://www.bournemouth.ac.uk/library/citing_references/citing_internet_sources.html

Good Luck!

Generally web sources have a different formatting procedure than paper sources, since they are a different kind of media. Since web sites are "published" quite differently, they aren't considered to have a "publisher." For information about properly documenting web sources, check out the following link. It should have info about how to document things that may not have author info:

generally, i prefer to be more specific with my source web address, but if you want to. o well.

if it was an article you read, the author is generally at the top or bottom. cant find them there- you wont.

publisher would be the website that put them on the internet.
