My answer:

When I caught a glimpse of you yesterday,
I thought of what might have been.
Now that I am where I am, today
I known it’s too late to begin again.

I just can’t stop thinking of back then
When you and I could have been.
Where would we be today?
Would it still be the same as yesterday?

Would we still have been?
Now, we’ll never know
And yet, I still think of then.
I just can’t let it go

We are strangers now.
Too many years have gone
For time to allow
Us to have yet another dawn

So, we went our own separate ways.
Yesterday was just one of those days
When we might have been
And now, can never be again.

Yeah, there are a few things in my life I wish "coulda been" and "shoulda been" and I regret not trying, but the past is gone and there's not much I can do except make the best of the present and plan for the future.

What coulda been is what is not going on here and now. To cling to those ideals is to experience suffering. In "On the waterfront", the lead character spent a life of unpleasantness for "I coulda been a contender."

I could have been a doctor, but I have a different profession now. I could have been a lawyer, but I made some other choices along the way. I could have been a doctor or a lawyer, but other people made other choices that affect the choices that I made.

Letting go of the past is always a challenge.

"Shoulda', coulda', woulda'" Three of the most worthless words in the book...

Plan your work, work your plan. That way you'll never obsess over a missed opportunity.

I see yearning for "coulda" or "shoulda" as a waste of time.

I focus on "what is" and "what can be."

Don't break your heart over what did not happen in the past.

I don't fantasize very much but accept the consequences of my thoughts, speech, and actions. Nothing can change the past.

Then you are sacrificings your todays. You can learn from the past, but not change it. It is vital to accept that.
