I have 2 brim in a 55 gal. tank and I went out there and noticed that they had this white stuff on them. The bigger brim only has a little bit on him but the little brim is covered. What is it?

And it almost looks like the skin of the fish is cracking.

Hard to say what this could be exactly from the description, but probably would fall into a fungus, or possibly a Columnaris (bacterial) infection. The Columnaris would have for of a circular edge, the fungus would be more irregular. I can pass along a website with photo links, so you can compare these with your fish. If Columnaris, I'd treat with Furanase, if a fungus, maroxy.

It would be helpful if you could post a photo of your fish, so we could see what's going on. Is there a way you can get a digital photo and use a photo-sharing website to post the photo link here (use the added details in the pencil icon beneath your question).

ADDITION: Maybe seeing a photo of disease will help you to identify this: http://www.fishpalace.org/Disease.html

Ich, if it is dots, feverloid, if it is powdery. Most likely, it's Ich. Ich is easily treated, but deadly if not treated early. It is very contagious and you should put Rid Ich in your aqaurium to get rid of it. Put the chemical and stress remover in it. Ich is a scary disease that is in the water. Do frequent water changes to help. Keep the aquarium lights off as well.

I'm pretty sure it's a disease like the flu or something. Don't worry, it'll wear off. My clownfish had little dots too.
