So many times I have to tell you assumptions & presumptions have no place in criminal law. Any person behaving as you stated in your case is nothing but his stupidity for which what any law enforcing body will do is to reprimand this man & tell him to behave like a mature person. Now coming to the legal aspect of the matter, on prima facie any such threat amounts to criminal intimidation punishable offence under section 506 of the Indian Penal Code. In this case since this man is instigating his own father to do an act which he is not legally bound to do as this man is 23 years old an adult & not a minor who is dependent on the father with an threat to his life & since he is son of the person intimidated, the ingredients of criminal intimidation as provide under section 503 are being fulfilled, which states Whoever threatens another with any
Injury to his person, reputation or property, or to the person or
Reputation of any one in whom that person is interested, with intent
To cause alarm to that person, or to cause that person to do any act
Which he is not legally bound to do, or to omit to do any act which
That person is legally entitled to do, as the means of avoiding the
Execution of such threat, commits criminal intimidation. So this is the provision of law available to tackle such a person.

In some weird way, I would assume it could be treated as extortion and if documented properly, could be used as evidence. I would look to commit the person or get therapy since these actions would not be considered rational or sane.

While I wouldn't say this first and certainly not say it lightly, I would eventually ask my 23 year old son what he wanted me to do with the rest of his stuff since he will soon be gone. But, any 23 year old that attempts this kind of behavior is simply ratcheting up the behavior that has worked for them in the past and would be a result of previous poor parenting.

Is that you? Seems like a plan, which you going to put it in action and before you do, you want to know the consequences.
Well! Then you are a spoiled brat, they have fulfilled all your demands for years, it started off with toys, then Nintendo, slowly and gradually it became bigger and bigger, now it has come to car, which they denied to you, and you cannot take "NO" for an answer, because you always had your ways, so you want to threaten them, its that simple.
Well! They did this to themselves and will pay the price for the rest of their lives, my heart goes out to the parents.
I am sure you are so spoiled that you going to speed in the car, and will get hit, either you will get crippled or die.......lol
Which I guess is there fear.

I am not from India, but I doubt any law would apply in this problem. This is a family issue, and the police and courts are too busy to deal with such situations. Law anywhere has seen its best left to the family themselves to fix family situations.

WHAT???? Your question is very confusing. I would call the police in ANY situtation where there is physical threats to someone or himself.
