This question came on b/c we just got our show music for next year. It's an orential samri theme which is pretty cool.

Joel (16) says: Pirates of the Caribbean: not only because the music is interesting and people remember the movie so people don't look at the band as much, they just listen and Mask of Zorro: because even though it takes more effort on the band's part, the music is SO frkg dramatic.
Mom says: Phantom of the Opera--Masquerade is a great song for marching to, but the theme song is an awesome way to display the band's musical talent--it's difficult to play, but mesmerizing.

I play trombone in marching band too. yet are you enjoying a marching trombone (which appears like a splash euphonium or huge trumpet) or a slide trombone? Marching trombones are not difficult in any respect, yet while it extremely is a slide, it is plenty extra durable. besides, in case you think of you're actually not waiting for competitions, do the "threat spot" this year. while the band is going to competitions, circulate with them. Get the feel for the ambience. final year, i began out marching band previous due, so i replaced into yet another. Mangione Opener is fun i know of 2 schools that did that last year. And Jazz shows are always fun! Especially for us colorguard girls! We're doing The Contender, Night Train, and Midnight in Tunisia.

In my years of high skool we did Star Wars my freshman year, then pirates of the caribbean and Phantom of the opera, they were all really cool!!!

alright i'm not in band, but i am in orchestra. o well, wut i think would be cool is any music that would keep ppl on the edge of their chair all throughout the song. that's my opinion. hope i helped. in our last concert, we had the band w/ us, and we played the pirates of the carribean. ppl seamed to love it. phantom of the opera would be cool too. :)

the ultimate would have to be queen. which is what we are doing this year. it is going to rock. my first year we did kansas, and last year we did alfred reed. but this year is going to kick some butt. lol.
