Does that mean she's only going back because the jury or whoever decides wants to show everyone that celebrities don't have privilages when it comes to this?

Yeah she got like 3 chances and still got caught driving under influince/suspended liscence so she has to serve her time but i also feel kinda sorry for her. I'm watching the news and they say that she left the court calling for her mother and crying plus i've seen the pictures of her crying and it's kinda sad but on the other hand it makes u mad b/c like someone already said she has been woman enough to drive drunk and with a suspended license and to get over the emmbaresment of a porn video of her all over the internet she should be strong enough to serve 45 days

She's back in jail to serve the sentence the Judge bestowed upon her. I think those LA judges are sick of seeing celebrities in their courts continuously and therefore are starting to crack down on them.

No.

It was a snafu. Paris was let out by the sheriff, who didn't have the authority to do so since the judge had ordered in her original hearing that she was not allowed to serve her sentence with home detention.

So this is not a big deal. Why should you or anyone complain about her serving her time, when she certainly wouldn't get her knickers in a knot if you had a third arrest for DUI with an already suspended license?

There was no jury involved in this; she was sentenced by the judge who specifically said she was not going to be allowed to serve her time at home. Yet the Sheriff allowed her out anyways. He totally went against the judge ruling, this would happened if she was a normal folk only difference it wouldn’t big news. At most there might be a blurb in the local Newspaper if that.

No, but I suspect judges aren't often told that the sheriff is kicking them out against his ruling. Many people think the sheriff has taken a payoff. I know they have an overcrowding problem in LA, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for poor judgment. It's clear, the little rich girl thinks rules don't apply to her.

My sister worked in a county jail. There's absolutely no medical situation that a facility can't handle. They can even handle attempted suicides. Paris needs to grow up and be a big girl. She was a big girl to go out and party and drink and make porn videos. Now she needs to be a big girl and take responsibility for her actions. She is not above the law.

Dear Milette:

I believe your understanding is correct but not just for celebrities but for everyone. I was pleased to see the decision made and that our judicial system has not completely gone upside down. Laws are structured so as to not favor a particular bias. In the case of Paris Hilton I sense she believed she was above the law and unfortunatly for the moment made mockery of it.

In the initial sentencing the Judge made it clear that she would not be getting home arrest, special arrangements, etc., and that her sentence would be served in jail. The Judge's ruling should not have been ignored.

She fought the law & the law won.

not at all the sheriff violated the judges order that she be remanded. the judge called him to task for it and ordered her returned to serve her sentence...just that simple...to be fair she was sent to a medical facility and they will now decide where she should be housed...but she will do her time...as set down by law...

A Judge, decided this, and rightfully so. No one, is above the law. No one.
