Is Flash 8 still valid? I'm learning actionscript but was wondering if I should learn 3 instead of 2. Is the web up to par with 3 yet? or are most people developing for Flash 8 still?

learn cs3. always go for the latest and newest in technology. By the time you become an expert you wil have to be learning cs4 or whatever comes next , so the path will be shorter if you know cs3 rather than 8pro.

Definitely go with CS3. Although, not a whole lot added to CS3 (that I have noticed) the biggest difference is ActionScript 3. There is a HUGE difference in between as3 and as2.

it fairly is surprising that the guy above me did no longer purely inform you this: significant._x = vozi._x + ((targetx-vozi._x)/2) significant._y = vozi._y + ((targety-vozi._y)/2) it fairly is YOUR code replaced into actionscript that works no longer in easy terms in actionscript 2.0 yet a million.0 besides. less demanding no? savor! ;-) no desire for the 1st 4 strains of code on your unique occasion (that's written in Flash 4 lingo and not Flash 5). yet you may define variables targetx and targety earlier you employ my 2 strains of code nonetheless. some thing like: var targetx:extensive style = one hundred var targety:extensive style = one hundred (or regardless of you made those variables equivalent on your code) via ways, there became a typo on your unique Flash 4 code: a comma became lacking interior the penultimate line of code, after "significant". have exciting with it! :)
