Hi, Were are you looking for help on how to setup your wireless router? The instructions that came with the router should be very simple to follow and step by step.
If you need help email me and ill be glad to give you instructions.
Now to your question here.
This is how you will connect your BT Voyager Modem.
-Cable from the wall to the Modem
-Ethernet cable from the modem, or USB which ever you want to use, to the computers ethernet, or USB, Port.
You will then need to install whatever software and drivers supplied to you by the Internet service provider. That should do it for you. If the service provider has turned on your service already you will be up and running.

it is not very hard - as they say if you know how
reset the router to factory defaults by pressing a pin in the reset button
unplug the router
reboot the computer
make sure that your proxy is off in the tools > internet options > connection > lan settings > proxy server - all are unchecked
Follow the instructions to get into the router
you usually type a http://192 whatever number
some of the time you just get in
other times reboot
try firefox if you do not see the control panel
Here are the default passwords for the router control panel
http://www.phenoelit.de/dpl/dpl.html
in the admin I would think that it set as an automatic ip
go to wireless
look for ssid - that is the network name
look for channel
change it from the default 6 to 1 or 11 or anything else if it does not work
I would leave off encryption at this point in your wireless career.
There are no shortage of open wireless routers in your neighborhood
You can set it up after you become proficient in wireless internet
Make sure the router is high and clear of clutter
To log on > find the wireless utlity in the right hand tray of your screen
scan for the signal;
connect

A most useful and functional program for setting up and maintaining your wireless network is

Don't blame the equipment or tech support - it is the knob behind the keyboard

Normally you plug the wan port of your wireless router into the ADSL modem. Then you plug a computer or laptop (with a cable) into one of the lan ports of the router. Now read the manual for your router to configure it . You will go onto your internet browser and enter the IP of the router - this is in the setup instructions. You will first have to configure the router to access the internet, so you will need your internet user id and password from your ISP. Once you can access the internet from your computer, then try to configure the wireless option. Till you are confortable with this, I wouldn't try to set it up with any security enabled - get it going first, then once it works, you can make it secure.

you cant have 2 pcs connected without a modem/router, you connect it up in place of your voyager and connect it to the pc with the ethernet cable that will have come with the router, then you need to log onto the router by opening internet explorer and typing the routers address into the address box on the ie, mine is 192.168.0.1, yours will be similar, it may be written on the bottom of the router or put the disc you got with it into the pc and read the instructions on how to set it up, i use aol as well in the uk and had a voyager 105 and replaced it with a netgear router, all i had to do was set the settings for the modem/router to connect to aol and i was fine but some makes of router are not compatible with aol

If your router is a combined modem/router you connect it in place of the modem, set up it's login information and then connect the pc to it via one of it's lan ports. You then configure the router's wireless setup and use the laptop's wireless setup utility to connect. The instructions for this are all in the router manual. If your router has no modem, you need to exchange it for one that has.

First you will need to access your routers management interface to make sure it is set up as an access point for wireless connections. Your user manual should have instructions for this. Once this is done, assuming your laptop came with either XP or Vista installed, go into your computers control panel and run the wireless network wizard. It is pretty straight forward. Good luck.

You need to connect the wireless router to the modem, following their directions of resetting the units. Then, on the Start menu, find the Network connections (on the laptop), and click "view wireless networks". You may need to make it search for new networks. That should help.

nop you don't need another modem and there's different ways to do this.
first thing you need to do is check to see if your loptop has a "wireless card" or wireless support, if it does:
make sure its enabled and connect your loptop to your wireless router via cable (Ethernet) and on your browser type 192.168.1.1 (which is the most common one and if it doesn't you might need to check the router's manufacturer's website)
and if it does take you to ther router settings look for the wireless options and check to see if it's enabled and look for the key just in case you need it...you know what since this take too long i'll give u my email: PCNemy@yahoo.com and add me as your friend in windows live messenger since it has a tool that let's me help you out in seconds (am always on from around 2pm - 1 or 2am) (anybody can contact me via live messenger) and noooooooooo i don't charge, i just like to help people out (it also helps me kill time) I HELP STEP BY STEP!!!

Get help from the manufactures
For the Router
http://www.voyager.bt.com/usb_modems/usb_index.htm#
Then click self help
For the laptop you just bought it but I’ll assume new you paid for support when you paid for the machine.
You didn’t give make or model or I would have included a link.
Just Google the manufacturers name and find the support page.
While you’re their register your product to activate the warranty, you should to this even if their was no problem.
Hope this helps
