Think of her qualifications:

-smarter than 99.9% of dems
-experienced: head of state dept, national security advisor
-breadth: concert pianist, fluent in russian
-tough, does not let her message get diluted in interviews

There are many many more. What's not to love?

There are a number of reasons I expect. Maybe she's seen enough up close to know she doesn't want or isn't capable of handling the complexity of the office. I keep hearing how smart she is, but I haven't seen much evidence of it. I'm not just arbitrarily trying to put her down, but what has she done of great import? It seems as though she is little more than another Bush "yes" person. Being a concert pianist and fluent in Russian doesn't qualify her for anything to do with the office.

If she is that smart, then she knows what President Bush has done to the image of the Republican Party. She probably is enough of a realist to admit, privately at least, that the Republicans would have to run J.C. to win in '08, if the current situation in Iraq continues. I don't dislike her, she just seems to have her lips permanently attached to Dubya's back end, and that doesn't prove anything of worth to me.

Because no extremely intelligent person like Condi would be stupid enough to run for President. She knows that she will be dragged through the mud and put up against the wall and be hated by at least 50% of the American populace... just because she is running for President.

I personally think she would make a GREAT President and I would easily vote for her in a heartbeat.

Because she is a scum sucking liar that looks like a chipmunk with buck teeth. She is involved with many of the scandals that has plagued this corrupt administration. Also, have you ever met Condi, because I do believe you cannot determine her intelligence based on what media sources tell you (aka fox news)

I wish she would run. Maybe she doesn't want to subject herself to the US press. Dictators she can handle, but as a conservative African American woman, the press would be unrelentingly brutal.

Because the "stain" of the Bush Administration is upon her. And until it begins to fade- she's smart enough to know- she doesn't stand a chance. :(
