I think Hughes shouldn't even really be playing. He can't stop and go like many of the players he needs to guard. He could've been in better shape had he sat out the rest of the Detroit series. He didn't do much after he hurt his foot, so maybe he could have stayed off it and had an impact in Game 1. If Cleveland wants to contain Parker, someone else needs to defend him.

well, larry to my opinion isnt much of a good player. He isnt that of a sharp defender either. i think boobie gibson would make a better point because he has a better shot and is a slightly better defender. erick snow could start but all he has is defence. he wouldnt make that good of a scorer of isnt really capable of leading a team at the point position. he may be very experienced and the mental leader, but the spurs are a very fast pace and athletic team. I would rather have someone younger playing against them. Larry isnt that well in top shape so i wouldnt have him. even if he was in good shape, i dont think he has the talent to play that position and compete with tony parker.

larry hughes is injured yes and gibson probably would play better defense on parker but still no one on the cavs can stop parker the spurs havent played in awhile and just had an off night he will pick it up same with manu and duncan also during the game they had lebron guarding parker and he to couldnt stop parker so basically no one can stop him on the cavs but the def. need to take hughes out and put gibson in because well right now he is healthy and he is def. nailing his shots

I think they should go with a Gibson/Snow combo to deal with Parker. They won't stop him, but they can do a better job containing him than in Game 1. I don't know why Mike Brown goes with a guy, who in my opinion is better defending shooting guards and is injured to guard someone as quick as Tony Parker. I'm not an NBA coach, but I don't think that's the smartest move in the world.

It doesn't matter who plays the point for Cleveland. Eric Snow can't guard Parker. Booby Gibson can't guard him either. The Cav's are done. All of you that jumped on the Cleveland bandwagon had better jump off now. You were all witness to perfect team basketball last night. I hate the Spurs ( a Suns fan for my whole life) but they are just better than the Cav's , they are going to dominate this series.

who else is nearly good enough or fast enough to stay in front of tony parker. Anyway guarding players like tony parker is a team effort and every one will help. hughes is a veteran point and he has to start game 2 hopefully he'll have a better game.

Spurs win if Larry Hughes does play point guard. Ilgauskas could play point guard better than him. Does he average like 20 turnovers a game, because it seems like it. He's terrible.

you already know what the better portion of that pastime became? interior the final 2 or so minutes the place D-Rose took over for the bulls and made similar to 3 quickly difficult baskets interior the take carry of. that's what we desire, is a participant who can quickly up score difficult baskets with the pastime on the line. The old bulls could have had a dry spell the place gordon ignored 3 jumpers for the final 2 minutes. That pastime could have ended up with the bulls dropping via ten. fairly, Rose grants interior the take carry of, purely misses the final shot and Hughes is put in the situation via the protecting breakdown via Rose to make the buzzer beating shot.

hughes is injured. they should try other stuff, like letting snow play so he could guard parker and slow the spur's tempo a bit
