It is sometimes said that women only watch wrestling because of the "hot" guys on there. I know for a lot of you women this isn't really the case. So my question for you is who are the 5 most respected wrestlers (can be male or female) of all time and why do you think they are so respected? And you cannot say because they are hot or because they have a nice body or anything like that.

1. Bruno Sammartino: I always liked the way he wrestled and as a commentator, not cute but I have respect for him.
2. Hillbilly Jim, I always liked the way he just came out of the audience and became a wrestler. Sort of like Santino Marella.
3. Kane: He happens to be a good role model in real life, not to mention, he likes to entertain and has no ambitions of being a champ.
4. Andre the Giant: Was a great wrestler and actor and a wonder of the world.
5. Mrs. Elizabeth: Although not a wrestler, but was educated and the first lady with dignity.
There's a lot more I respect but these are my top five.

Lita she was an inspiration to all women she wrestled almost as good as the guys.
HBK has been in the wwe for a long time came back from all types of injuries and still kicks butt
Jerry lawler just because he is the king and a very respected wrestler in his time and still is.
Trish she held the women's title the most times and i think for the longest time
and finally i guess i would have to say Vince McMahon that man is brains on legs to created what he has and is also not a bad wrestler.

I don't know who are considered the most respected in the business. It's been around a lot longer than I have. For me, though, I would have to say (in no particular order): Ric Flair, The Undertaker, Dusty Rhodes, Chris Benoit (toothless aggression!), HBK... It was hard to pick just five. I suppose The Fabulous Mulah would be up there, too (in the past, of course).

Gotta say, I like the question & the way it's stated. I think: Hulk Hogan, he's been a good role model for the kids, The Rock for the same reason, Bret Harte for his standards to not only himself but to others as well and Andre the giant for the same reason as the rest.

2. Triple H.. - one of the best guys.. and he is the game for a reason!!

4. Mickie James - The Best Diva Today..
5. The Hardyz.. - They Made Changes in the wwe just like that..

Mr. Perfect - he was what he says he was: Perfect
Jerry "The King" Lawler - best commentater on RAW and pretty funny too
Trish Stratus - she was the best women's champion second to Moolah
Gregory Helms - he has held the cruiserweight title for over like 300 days
Bruno Sanmartino - has held the WWE Championship title the longest

well triple H is because he is a nice guy and he is funny, santino is so much respected because he never said anything wrong to anyone hes nice and he was a fan and he inspires every other fan that could be picked from the audience and i would say ric but carlito doesnt respect him at all thats not all but thats all i can think of for now

HBK- never backs down and started dx and also won the first He** in a cell and beat Bret hart for the championship
HHH- started dx 10 time champ only lost 1 in a He** in a cell Beat almost every one in the WWE
Hardy boys- ever time they step in a ladder match your bound to see something great one of the best in the business
Cena- beat HHH and HBK in the grandest stage of them all fu big show twice been the tag champ and the united states championship and the wwe championship and beat jbl in a i quit match fot
Mullah- best woman champ in the world in her time held it for 1000 days that saying something
