Missile defense?

Question

can someone please explain why a missile defense system is worth losing the good will of the major powers...esp. when our real threats are from terrorism and Iran and N. Korea have no viable missile force to use against us...it would be easier for N.Korea or Iran to put a bomb in a ship and sail it into NY harbor than waste the money on missiles...Is there a logical reason to cause Putin to aim missiles at Europe in response?

The rest should be obvious - Lets upset Russia and put a missile defence system up their butts - Then the world will be safer ----

It isn't enough the US can strike any target in Russia or Europe in minutes they want it done in seconds

Yeah right - good Bush good.

Wanting peace and so forth is now seen as treason by a growing group in the US government

Wanting roads education and health care is seen as an evil communist plot to be fought against

Torture is seen as a necessary evil - and anyone who disagrees is hiding something -


Yes Bush will push this despite common sense - and if you question it - It is because you are a communist who is supporting Russia;s secret take over of the US -

This is the government you want ?



Here is what I want

Peace in my time - (not likely I know )

A good wage and affordable prices for all (again not likely and I know it )

Medicine for the sick Work for the able and tolerance for the minority - an end to racial tension - happy children who turn into happy adults Happy adults who don't need to kill people this is a strange theory I know


This is where I think our best minds and scienctists should go This is what men ought to work for -


Now how is that bad or radical ?

There is no good reason for a missile defense system in Europe, if there is, let the Europeans build one. I guess it's the equivalent of fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here, that is stupid thinking and so is a missile defense system in Europe to protect us.

It is hardly loosing good will. When someone threatens you it is not good will and they don't have your best interests at heart. You don't reward Russia. You make them pay a very steep price for that action. I would give support to Chechnian rebels or something similar but I just don't like bullies. Russia must pay a severe price for threatening peoples security.
