Is Chinese life much more different than an American's when it comes to the government?

In other words what can we do that their government won't let them do. Examples would be great. Thanks!

First there is a greater ratio of have not's versus haves. And the government gets away with anything absolutely unquestioned

Having lived and worked in Chins for nine months, I know for a FACT that you wouldn't even ask that question if you were a Chinese citizen living there.
I couldn't discuss politics with anyone. They were afraid to be overheard and reported.
I don't know for sure what the consequences would have been but the common result of inappropriate behavior was to be sent to a labor camp until they thought your behavior and attitude was corrected.

Well, we don't get gunned down for demonstrating like in Tienanmen Square, ...oops, there was that time at Kent State. OK, so we make a decent wage to live by, not for pennies like in China, Well, except for the sweat shops owned by famous people here. Hey, I got it. We can have as many kids as we want and the government pays us for each one if we can't afford them. Try THAT in China.

Well, one good example of the difference would be the fact that Internet users in China may not be able to see this question.. internet use is censored there.

There is no difference. once they are in power.
Before you all jump down my throat, think about it.
Once in power they do want they want to do, there are poor
people in the USA and in Britain. but the powers that be
Lie and deceive us and still the fools vote for them
the fools being the lazy that are in the majority on benefits.

Well in America you can say "The government sucks!" In china they might kill you for saying that.
