There is no such thing as forever, it's just a naive comfort word. You can't say forever about anything in your life because no matter what, over time circumstances are going to change, feelings are going to change and people are going to change. It's inevitable. There's the past, the present & the future, but no forever.

I think it should be taken at it's word. It sounds to me like an offering For - Ever; a gift to the ages. This moment is presented to history as a defining moment for all to aspire to. A lovely thought sent on to our children's children as a blessing.
