Sushi is pricey! But these are reasonable. I live in the valley and these are my two favorites.

Sushi Nozawa, 11288 Ventura Blvd, Studio City
The owner is sometimes referred to as the Sushi Nazi, because he can be a bit overbearing and sometimes will tell you how to eat your food. It's worth it.. it's darn good.

Kushiyu, 18713 Ventura Blvd, Tarzana
They also have a very unique grill called a Kushiyaki (sp) only a few in the entire country. They make all kinds of little skeward grilled foods too. Ask for the spicy tuna on a grilled rice cake. Not on the menu but great!

Sushi is going to be pricey if it's worth eating!
There's a great place on Ventura Blvd. in Toluca Lake called Yama (moto?)-something. They have the best sushi in the valley. Other than that, if you go to West LA, there is Hana on Sawtelle between Olympic and Santa Monica Blvd.

I like Maeda in Studio City off Ventura blvd. I believe they charge you 20 odd some dollars for all you can eat in an hour. It's not cheap sushi like some of the other franchised places either. Yamamoto in Toluca is ok but in my honest opinion too pricey.
