Ohhh, I wanted a Big Wheel so bad, but I thought that only boys got them. I'm sure my parents would have agreed. I used to ride the neighbors' whenever one was offered. I can still remember the thrill of flying down the street at what to me was incredible speed and only inches off the ground.
After I was too old for a Big Wheel, I saw a pink one, and I knew that equality had finally arrived in the hood.

No! I was 14 or 15 when Big Wheels came along. Some of the toys that kids today have today, I wish they would have been around when I was little

No. They weren't on the market when I was a kid. I had a tricycle and when I outgrew that, I sat on the back fender of my brother's old bike and pedalled. I was too short to reach the pedals from the seat.

Family was too broke when I was a kid. My bigwheel was a used tire that you just rolled on and fell off all the time...
