They work very hard and risk their lives every day protecting our borders so we can be safe and many of them die in the process.
They work with limited resources and guard over 6,000 miles of border with only a limited number or agents.
So why don't we hear more about them and give them the credit they deserve for making such enormous sacrafices?
Whatever happened to that fence we voted to have built along the border that no one is talking about anymore?
The men and women who Patrol our Southern Border are true heroes and it would be nice if we treated them with some respect and recognition for doing one of the most dangerous jobs we have in the United States of America.

Yogang - Did you know that there are very few of them to guard the entire border separating us from Mexico?
There aren't nearly enough of them to do the job right and it's been especially hard for them ever since Bush decided he would rather have a welcome comittee with balloons and flowers along our Southern Borders instead of men and women in uniform to keep them out.
So if the illegals are invading us anyway it isn't the Border Patrol's fault, you have our President and Congress to thank for that.

I think we should have the National Guard deployed to stand guard at our Southern border and give the Patrol Agents a helping hand in the WAR that's going on over there.
Because it is a war that no body's talking about and only a few brave men and women are standing alone and fighting it by themselves.
We HAVE to get the drug cartels under control and prevent them from smuggling in any more drugs into our Country.
I say deploy the National Guard and give them orders to shoot to kill anyone caught smuggling drugs over from the other side.
Because folks that's what they drug smugglers are doing to our patrol agents, their shooting at them and killing them from over the border before they come over so they can't get caught.
It's true that the war on Terror is important and we need to be victorious on that issue but we also need to fight the war on illegal aliens flooding our Country with drugs and crime.

Actually its about 2800 miles of border with Mexico. The Border Patrol are in a Mexican stand off with our own Government. The Marines are also treated like crap from our judicial and legislative organizations of Government. Bush and Clinton both have pardoned several felons who were doing hard time, including convicted terrorists. The Courts can even pardon a woman for drowning her 5 kids in the bath tub. Its indicative of the sorry bunch of appeasers we have in these power positions. The Fence - what a joke. They have no desire to build it as long as they keep pushing this Amnesty Bill down our throats.

Border Patrol agents are in serious need. Not because of the illegal immigrant issue but because of the drug cartel and terrorist issue. The drug cartels are extremely dangerous and they aren't your simple everyday criminals they are bigger than a mafia and three times as powerful. I admire border patrol agents for having the courage to go against something like that.

I am all in favour you are right
When will we give the following people their due ?
The cashier who struggles to make ends meet on a midnight shift and has to put up with the rudeness of the general public that sees her as a waste of space
The factory worker who takes stupid orders from a kid who just made supervisor because his daddy is someone big in the company
The road crews who go out in all sorts of weather so the life blood of the nation continues to flow Risking life daily - death and a wheel chair might end his life at any moment because an angry driver doesn't want to obey a road sign that day - His wife looks and feels 20 years older than she is - because she knows it is unlikely for her husband to go uninjured for the entirety of his career -
The kid trying to make a living by pumping gas at midnight so he can eat on a regular basis who quietly hopes this isn't the night he has a gun pointed at his head (again )
Now yes I will congratulate the border patrol for their part in society - But if you don't mind I will do it after the above mentioned people are congratulated and told for once in their miserable lives - Thank You

See in the overwhelming genious of congress they did all vote to build a wall on the boarder. But the problem is their was know money on the bill. So they all agreed pretty much it would be nice to build a wall and yes boarder patrol agents deserve the credit.

They don't receive the proper recognition they deserve. They are under funded, under staffed and a few are doing the work which requires many. It all goes back to appropriations and funding and hopefully Congress and Senate will appropriate the funds where they are truly needed and fix this mess. It all starts at the borders and that's where the funds should be applied.
I agree with you completely and I applaud them for their efforts and dedication.

instead, the border patrolmen get sent to jail for shooting illegals.
the system is a joke and its amazing that anyone would even take that job.
I think they've locked up at least 5 patrolmen for shooting illegals, so whats the point?

The foot soldiers on ANY "Front" -seldom get any attention. It's one of the "ways of the World ". They show up- in the Obituaries eventually... But that's about IT. So the next time you pass a veteran's cemetery- give it a salute. It's graves are full of heros.
