The long and the short of it is:

I don't have tons of money and I want to make my wedding guests something nice they can take home with them. Most crafts and such that I've seen are more the things women would like. Can you think of something men might like? Or something that's pretty neutral that both genders would think is cool?

I already know about edible things, so anything non-edible would be really appreciated. It also doesn't have to be romantically themed.

What I've thought of... if you've seen book purses, I was thinking of making something similar, but smaller and a small handle so it doesn't look like a purse. "Book bags" or "book cases." What do you think? Would a guy like something like this, if the cover was of a book, movie, comic, that he likes?

Any other craft ideas for guys would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

I know of a couple that gave out cd's of their fav. music on it. Then they labeled it with a photo of them on it. Another couple I know made DVD's of there wedding and the photo's taken at there wedding on the DVD and the label on the DVD was of the couple. My brothers wedding they did fruit juice in like wine bottles and had their names, the date of the wedding printed on a label and put them on the bottle. Its been 7 years and I still have my bottle from their wedding. I am not sure about the bottle one but the other two ideas should be no more than $5.00 with the cd/DVD and label and if you do a case. (if you have a cd or a DVD writer and are able to do this yourself).
Not sure where to get done but a thought that crossed my mind. I think it would be cool. A deck of cards with on the back side a photo of the couple.
Photo Frame with a wedding photo of the couple.
Or you just could do something easy and give duct tape. j/k

My sister bought her boss a leather standard Bible cover. It was thoughtful, he cried. But months later she saw him taking the cover off his Bible and switching it to his day planner. He was headed to court and wanted to impress his opponent.
Guys like phone cases, book covers, something like a cooler coozie or a traveling tool kit. They like things that do what they are supposed to do but also do something else!!! Like those all in one tools but the ones that come in a case and clip onto the belt.
I know I didn't exacdtly answer your question but I hope my having four grown sons helps you.
I once went to the HSN website and bought $200 worth of knives. I got a Marine Corps sword and some Bowie knives and like 98 other buck knives that ended up in stockings, and gifts to police and firefighters. Check out there clearance section too.

Guys really don't keep stuff they bring home from weddings. Best to just go with a matchbook cover or candy wrapper. They're not going to keep it anyway.

CDs of you and your hubby's favorite music

My husband and I had magnets made (www.vistaprint.com and they were CHEAP). Every guy we know has one on his fridge just because they thought they were way cool.

Guys are funny like that.
