Ok I just met this guy and we talking about arm hair I dont even know how the topic got started but he thinks its strange if a girl dosnt shave her arms... I am not talking about underarm hair I mean the white thin hairs on the fore arm. What do u think of this? I have never shaved my arms and never will they will grow back even more dark and coarse...

Okey, that's just weird.. and annoying that a guy would expect a girl to go through all that (shaving, growing thicker, shaving, even thicker... etc) Don't start shaving for him.

Don't let this guy make you feel self conscious about your arm hair. I actually do shave my arms, but most other women I know don't (and many of them think I'm a little weird for doing so!).

Hair doesn't grow back any thicker after you shave it, but it may appear thicker because the tip of the hair is blunt. The ends of hairs that have not been shaven are thinner and often lighter at the ends, so this is why it seems as though hair that has been shaved grows back thicker.

Some people do shave their arm hair--- if it is dark and stuff.

It is a myth that your hair grows back more dark and coarse if you shave. The hair follicles have no way to determine whether your hair was shaved or not. I saw it on MYTHBUSTERS--- some dummy just made that myth up.

But, it can appear thicker b/c it is all growing in @ the same time...

Don't shave your arms. I shaved them and the hair came back darker. It doesn't matter if a girl shaves her arms or not. Its really not that big of a deal. My arm hair used to bug me but then I realized its not a big deal and everyone has arm hair and no one cares if you have it or not lol. If your arm hair really bugs you, you could always bleach it. That is a much better choice than shaving your arms.

I wouldn't advise that you go and shave your forearms as a female. But as a male I have shaved my forearms and underarms and they have grown back the same. Not really any darker. Some girls like a man without hair lol! but that aint I real man! If the man wants you to shave for him -lose that fool!

It grows back black. I don't know about thicker or coarser, and plus poky arms if you don't shave for a couple days is just weird...Like if you shave your legs and the hairs are so short they hurt, the same will happen to your arms. I highly doubt that that is attractive.

A guy told me to do the same thing once, but he was a jerk. You don't have to shave the hair on your arms.

i wax my arm.. i think it strange if a girl with dark hair on her arms doesnt take them off. i would never shave them but wax is good. It thins them out and looks lighter on the skin

that just weird. girls dont shave their arm hair and whatever you do dont shave it. its going to grow back thick and stubbly. if you can't see the hair on your arms (like the thin hair on the fore arm) them why would you need to shave it. if you really dont like it i guess you could wax...

I shave my arms by chose. They're not really hairy, I just like how smooth they are after I shave them. And it doesn't grow back any darker. BUT, don't do it JUST for him. If you want to do it, then do it, but don't just start shaving them FOR him. A woman should never DO SOMETHING about her body JUST for their man. :)
