Name the folders so they'll tell you what kind of files you put into them. ~
For example, I have a WP folder (word processing) and subfolders under that for the different letters and documents I store. Names of people, companies, jokes etc.
Same with spreadsheets. Folder Excel and all the files in that.
Music files etc.

Look at the icons. Folders look like little yellow folders while files have a variety of other looks depending on what they are.
You can sort your files & folders according to type by clicking the VIEW menu and choosing the DETAILS option. You'll see four columns that can be sorted in various ways by clicking on the heading of each column.
To organize your files by TYPE, click the TYPE button at the top of the column. Your files will be arranged by their type.
To reverse the order, click the TYPE button again... Note the small triangle next to the word "TYPE" ... it'll be either:
"^" which is 1-2-3-a-b-c order ...or...
"v" which is c-b-a-3-2-1 order

In details view click on Type to sort by type of file. This will organize in alphabetical order the file type.
Folders have yellow portfolio style icons.
Whether you sort by name, size, date, etc folders will always be grouped together.

Folders usually have an icon that looks like a folder next to it. Files of various types will generally have an icon of the program that files extension is associated with. Such as .pdf could be Adobe Acrobat reader.

Files and Folders are differentiated by type by their icon
so you can tell a word document is word because it has a W
and excel files are marked with logo X and picture files usually have jpeg and bmp..
Folders are yellow folders are generic because they basicall divide and contain file and arent files of anytype...
Secondly they will have individual filenames ..people tend not to use the same filename twice (you are not allowed in the same folder) but within a directory you can have the same filename in different folders....
In windows the path names are unique but its good practice to name all your files uniquely e.g. by adding a number count that can differentiate files..
I hope this answers your question....

Try doing a disk cleanup and defragging. and then do a system restore. To do a restore go to start, then under accessories look for system tools and under that look for system restore and go back a few days and restore the computer. And then let it do its process. Whe done it should work better. You can also try doing a clean up by doing this it will tell if you have any bad sectors on the hard drive. To do this go to start then under accessories look for Command Prompt and then type in chkdsk/f and restart computer dont touch anything and let it do it scan and then it will restart computer and should run better.

Are you looking to order your own folders?
If so there's a piece of freeware called Folder Marker
that will let you colour code them.
You could simply right click on them and rename them.
or right click on the screen and select the arrange by..
option and choose type or another option.
Not terribly sure what you're trying to do - sorry

If you have been doing a course for 5 weeks then you have not 'just started.'
Days of the week begin with a capital letter e.g. Monday.
When your looking = When you are looking
I suspect you are going to fail.
